Latest News On Tuesday the 20th of April at short notice we were asked to perform on the Arthur Smith Radio show which is on BBC radio 4. The show is actually recorded at his home in Balham South London. We were in the kitchen with Phil Jupitus, one comic on the landing and another in the living room and an audience of about 30 people scatterd arond the house. This made for a crazy but unique atmosphere. We have to thank our mate Glenn Tilbrook who gave the producer Alison a copy of Nathan John, which she loved and is the song we performed along we some incidental music for Athur to talk over. We would like to thank Mark and Harry for the Rum punch, Arthur and his lovely lady Beth for their hosbitality, Phil Jupitus, Marlon Davis, Josh Widdicombe for the laughs, Dave on sound, the producers Simon and Alison and the tall geezer who moved my car. We would like to put a message out to all promoters and booking agents around the world, will they please not book Nine Below Zero during the duration of the World Cup as Mark and Dennis want to sit in the comfort of their own living rooms watching the greatest sports event ever! However, Gerry and Brendan will be available for any weddings, bar mitzvahs and private functions and any event that will get them away from the World Cup, due to the fact that there is no Irish representation. Talking of Ireland, what a great five days we had with Glenn Tilbrook and three special gigs in Cork, Belfast and Dublin. I know some fans in Belfast were unhappy with the amount of NBZ songs played, but I can only put this down to the billing of the gig. We will be back soon. A big thank you to all those people who came to the Blues Kitchen in Camden and the Anchor and Hope gig and helped raise some welcome funds for the Love, Hope and Strength Charity. The Jools Holland session goes out on Monday the 8th of March, Mark and Dennis played with Jool's Band, "Every Day I Have the Blues" and choose tracks that have influenced their career. Also a big thank you to Carmelo Genovse for all his help and support in the lovely Italia. Many thanks A big thank you to all those people who managed to come out to the gigs in the most incliment of weather we had whilst on our recent tour of Germany, Denmark, Slovenia and Switzerland. It would be unfair to pick out any of the shows as being special but a small mention must go to the Cafe Hahn and our gig in Postonja, Slovenia. With the Beatles it was I'll Follow the Sun, but when your called Nine Below Zero, its We'll Follow the Snow. So from now on the band is fed up being cold and will be touring under the name of The Good Old Sunshine Blue Skies Fresh Grass Blues Band. Recording News The boys are in the studio recording with Glenn Tilbrook for a possible colaboration, for a yet as unnamed EP project. We also have video footage of four of the songs from Never Too Late!, we aim to film more with a possible remix of one of the songs, to be released as a single. This is still very much an idea we are working on. Jam Magazine, Italy, number 165, December 2009
