Welcome to 2012 and the new Nine Below Zero website!

A new year, a new line-up for the band and a new website!

Thanks to everyone for a great start to 2012. All our friends in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Hullbridge. We hope that's the end of the snow, maybe a change of name to the Good Old Sunshine Bluesky Boys might be in order to change our luck with the weather. May sees the band doing five or six shows as the Co-Operative with Glenn Tilbrook (gigs soon on tourdates). These will be an evening of a mixture of Squeeze songs, Glenn's songs, Nine Below Zero songs and covers.

Two outstanding shows in the early part of the year are the Astor Theatre, Deal and The Square in Harlow. Nine Below Zero reopened the Astor Theatre in Deal two years ago and now return for a special show on the 18th of February to a rejuvenated and successful gig on the live circuit. As for the Square in Harlow, this was closed a few years ago by the withdrawal of local council money and has been reopened by two local musicians. We feel having not played the gig for 15 years, we need to go back and support such local belief in live music. Please support these two gigs especially (as well the other gigs of course) as we all need local venues in our areas like these, and also to support the types of people who run these gigs with such passion and on shoestring budgets.

Also available on the new website are fresh t-shirts with various designs and colours.

Hopefully you'll find the new website more user friendly, and have a little patience with us as we'll be updating live as we go, so you'll find a few things missing right now, but coming online in the next few weeks!

Blues Masterclass with Dennis Greaves

This is a link for Dennis's first ever blues guitar workshop, on the afternoon of the 18th of February before the Astor Theatre gig. To be held upstairs in the Astor, Dennis will be talking and playing the blues and maybe joined by Mark to showcase their combined years of experience of playing their instruments and maybe telling a few stories too!

The Co-Operative
The project with Glenn Tillbrook is now available for purchase on our online shop. Rather than it be Glenn Tillbrook and Nine Below Zero we felt the project needed a name: The Co-Operative consists of five new songs, self-penned, three covers, and three self-penned instrumentals. The internal booklet has the lyrics and full credit listings. It will also be available at our gigs and in shops from mid-September onwards. We really hope you will like it as much as we have enjoyed making it. When you guys get to listen to it, I hope you'll see how much out of our comfort-zones we are. It doesn't sound like either a Glenn Tillbrook or Nine Below Zero album, but its rather a co-operative! New Price structure on all CD's are to be found on the online store.
