Third Degree 40th Anniversary Tour

After a successful summer festival season and a fantastic response to the ‘Back In The Day’ album, our focus now is on the upcoming ‘Third Degree’ 40th anniversary tour.

Third Degree is the perfect Nine Below Zero album to play in its entirety, and our current six-piece formation will be revisiting and rejuvenating every track live on stage across the length and breadth of mainland UK.

Founding members Dennis Greaves (guitar & vocals) and Mark Feltham (harmonica & vocals) will be joined by Dennis’ son Sonny Greaves on drums, Anthony Harty on bass, Tom Monks on keyboards and guitar, and the impressive female backing vocals of Charlie Austen.

We will be performing 'Side One', and as you get up from your metaphorical seat (venue dependant) to turn the record over, we will play a career-spanning collection from Nine Below Zero’s extensive catalogue, from Back In The Day to the recent Avalanche, before the figurative needle settles onto 'Side Two' - with a grand finale runout.

All tickets for the Third Degree 40th Anniversary Tour are available here.

With Third Degree's classic front cover image, shot by David Bailey, the band being chosen to feature on The Old Grey Whistle Test and, notably the pilot episode of seminal comedy The Young Ones, plus high-profile performances at the Reading Festival and the Hammersmith Odeon; this truly was a historic period for the band.

To coincide with the tour, we are releasing a limited edition white vinyl of Third Degree, available now on our online store and at the merchandise stall as the tour commences - courtesy of the marvellous Adam Cooper at Heavy Soul.

Thanks to the Midlands connections of our bassist Anthony Harty, we are being sent to Coventry where we’ll be busy rehearsing and doing pre-production for the tour in the creative paradise of UB40’s production studio.

We think this is a perfect chance to film and post up rehearsals, and as we will be living together in one house, there will be frequent updates on the best Indian restaurants we find in the area, amongst other highlights we discover.

So please check the tour dates, find your nearest show (or the furthest, if you’re that dedicated), and we look forward to celebrating this iconic album with you all!
